Teacher of English
We seek candidates who will bring to the position enthusiasm for the teaching of literature and writing, a commitment to fostering an equitable and inclusive learning environment for all students in the classroom, and willingness to teach multiple courses within the curriculum. The department values the study of literature through close reading, and we have a strong writing program that seeks to develop students’ critical writing skills, as well as their own voices as writers. Candidates with literature and/or creative writing backgrounds are encouraged to apply. Applicants should be interested in teaching a variety of courses from the department’s core offerings as well as developing compelling semester-long seminars in areas of their own interest. We seek candidates who will support the department's ongoing work to diversify and expand our curricular offerings.
